The Brief

The Acrobatic Swan Lake production wanted to make a big impact for its UK debut across theatres and venues nationwide.

The production by the internationally renowned Xi’an Acrobatic Troupe has dazzled sold-out audiences around the world and we were tasked with maximising UK ticket sales within a profitable margin, while also spreading awareness of the production in the new UK market.

Our Approach

Understanding the power of Facebook ads and its potential for reaching the production’s target audience, Carrington enacted a multistage paid social strategy to meet these objectives. 

We knew that data would be paramount to the success of our campaigns, feeding Facebook’s advanced algorithms and allowing us to make informed decisions. We liaised closely with Sadler’s Wells Theatre to set up a brand new tracking pixel.

This data was at the core of our strategy, leveraging the large number of existing website users to reach relevant audiences via remarketing and lookalike campaigns. 

In addition, we also enacted a number of targeted top-of-funnel campaigns, making use of Facebook’s preset targeting options to continually dial into our ideal audience. 

With some expert intervention from our PPC team, we were able to achieve results beyond all targets. 

Overall, we were able to produce a return on ad spend of over 29x, and record 4,209 purchases on a 7-day click/1-day view basis.
